My friend just got a letter from the UC system that she needs to a letter to verify that she's in varsity speech. Did this happen to anyone else? I thought they only do random checks AFTER you are admitted.

hahah is your friend screwed?

nope, many colleges randomly audit, just like the IRS. It doesnt get everyone but it gets some and warns others enough to not cheat.

It's a random audit system that the UC system uses to varify students EC's, community service, and awards like slake said. I had a friend from last year who put down that he had done over 1,000 hours in church service and got caught. What really sucks is that alot of the CSU's that granted him admissions, black listed him and took his admissions away.
