UC EECS vs CS

Hey guys I was filling out the UC application when I realised that there ere two options for computer science (COE vs L&S). COE is offering EECS while L&S is offering CS.My question is if I apply to EECS would I still be able to go into software ans take all the software related courses offered in the L&S program?

My background: International applicant.
SAT 1 M 710 Wr 750 Cr 730 (2190)
M 800 Wr 690 Cr 710 (2200)
M 780 wr 670 Cr 740 (2190)
AP Calc Bc 5 Physics Mechanics 5
SAT II M IIC 800 Physics 800 Chemistry 760
I have some engineering related extracurriculars ans leadership. My grades have been in the top 5-7 % throughout.

Both majors select from the same CS courses. EECS gives more latitude to choose EE courses for your upper division courses.

EECS is likely more selective in frosh admissions; students enter declared in the major. L&S admits frosh as undeclared; students then need to complete the prerequisites with a high enough GPA (currently 3.0) to declare the major.

[Degree Programs | EECS at UC Berkeley](Academics | EECS at UC Berkeley) describes the EECS (BS) and L&S CS (BA) degree programs.
