Well now that most of the uc decisions are out, and I have been accepted to none of the ones I have applied to, how about we talk about ELC. I know I qualify, so what happens now? Does a college with your major need to accept you? When are you notified? Can denials be overturned? Any help would be very much appreciated.
If you are not accepted at any of your choice campuses, the UC system will automatically forward your application to one of the less competitive campuses (UCM or sometimes UCR). You may not get your choice major either, again it depends upon the number of spots available.
My niece heard Mid-Late April but it could go beyond May 1 since that is the SIR deadline.
You can file an appeal at each UC campus if you prefer, however you need to have new and compelling information to overturn their decisions. You can look the appeal process on each UC’s website.
Few appeals are granted unless there is a mistake make by the school.
