UC Eligibility

I'm weird...
I have a 4.17 GPA weighted
I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted

But my test scores...
First sitting: 1950
- CR 610
- Math 660
- Writing 680

Second sitting: 1980
- CR 560 (What!?!?!?)
- Math 650
- Writing 770

ACT:
Composite - 29, Reading - 31, Math - 31, Science - 23 (grr), Writing - 29
Composite - 29, Reading - 24 (grr), Math - 29, Science - 29, Writing - 33

I saw on the UC Admissions website that eligible students must have at least a 580 in every component of the SAT and at least a 25 on each section of their ACT, and that they take the highest overall sitting. But as you can see, my highest sitting has a CR below a 580 (an aberration grr). And each of my ACT scores have 1 section score below 25.

So what will the admissions officers do? Will they then take the 1950 SAT? Am I wrong in my interpretation fo the admission standards?

OH, and my SAT Subjects were history and french, 700 and 610, respectively

I am simply confused because I would hope that these test scores, while not stellar, are certainly solid overall.

Thoughts?

You are misconstruing requirements. One way to qualify for admission to UCs is via test scores only for which you are correct about minimums needed; those who have less than a 3.0 GPA might try that path. The other way, and the usual one for those with a 3.0 GPA or better, is through combination of GPA and test scores and there is no minimal score per section in the tests required but you do need to meet the minimum UC elegibility combination of GPA and tests score totals and your GPA and test scores indicate you are likely well above the minimum if in-state: see [University of California - The scholarship requirement](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/california-residents/statewide-path/scholarship-requirement/index.html)

Are you a senior? If you are already a senior, it’s too late and eligibility requests/nominations have already been given out. If you are a junior however, relax. You still have the rest of the year to fix the tests. Also, your eligibility is counted in two ways, tests and using GPA. Your GPA should make you eligible.

Yes I am a senior…
Although I think I was misconstruing requirements…
I visited the calculator part of the website and it says I am eligible…great!

Do any of you think Berkeley is likely with my GPA and test scores…(I have many leadership positions and extracurricular activities and work experience on the side as well of course)

What is you UC gpa?

If it is also or close to 4.17, then I would say your chances are below average.
