<p>Using the endowments and undergraduate student enrollment as reported at US News I calculated the per student endowment. I’ve listed the schools in the order that they are ranked by US News. From the numbers you can see that the US News ranking correlates to the per student endowment fairly well. In particular the top two schools have much higher per student endowments than the rest and it is very unlikely that any of the other UC’s will overtake UCB or UCLA.
