UC Essay #1

UC Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.

Should I be talking about a combination of things that have molded me into who I am today? Or should I stick to writing about one specific aspect of my life, my world, that has had a particularly large impact...

Right now, what I have includes my relationship with my parents, my career in Taekwondo, AND the ultra-competitive environment that I share with my awesomely intelligent friends.

The problem is that, although I get to cover a lot of bases in terms of influences I've had, I don't get to say much (if anything meaningful at all) about my dreams and my aspirations.

I have to say, I owe my dreams and aspirations to my life at home.

Then again, I could be taking this essay topic to literally/generally; could I possibly spin it into something fancy? (ie: somebody lived in their garage, building things in there 24/7 and somehow it's a beautiful metaphor for their life on a grander scale).

Thanks in advance for any replies/advice :)))!

“You don’t need to talk about family and community and school. Pick one and be descriptive.”
