<p>The UC word limit is 1000 for three essays, is it okay to go over a little bit?</p>
<p>Another question- is it ok if the split isn't 200/200/600 but like 300/200/500 for example instead. How far off of the split suggested is ok?</p>

It's always 200/200/600. You can't split 300/200/500.
It's okay if you have + or -5 for each section, but try to limit to 200/200/600.</p>
