UC explanation of appeals process, grounds for reversal and typical success rates

This document from the UC is a couple of years old, but describes the appeals situation by campus. Look to see what they describe as valid reasons for approving admission to an appealing applicant, the typical success percentage of appeals and other clues to help you in the process.

I called UCSB and last year they admitted 0 students through appeals.
I don’t know if they had a wait list last year either.

Thanks for sharing! I found the companion document that added a little more information: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/compreview/0308_meeting/appeals_process.pdf

^ Excellent, should help everyone considering an appeal. Good timing.
