UC Extends application deadline to 12/2/05

Maybe they do this when there are problems/complaints about their server?

I mean, let all the kids who weren't able to log in after 11:45 pm sweat a night, then when they start calling in the next day to complain... give them the time they need.

If every applicant visits the page 5 times that day, wouldn't that mean that there's 1 million applicants?? Better not be...

That made me laugh out loud--gave me the funniest image. I bet there were a couple hundred obsessive kids clicking refresh every 2 seconds.

It is more like "free money" to UC...At an average of 4 UC's per applicant (they ask everyone to apply broadly -- like 3-4 UC's) and with an additional 10,000 late applicants (could be more) that translates into 2.4 million dollars. This is big business! My guess is the UC pulls in 70-80 million dollars every year from application fees.
