I am considering on taking an online UC extension's course. However, if I take the online course, will the units I receive transfer and articulate to a certain course at the UC that I am currently attending? Will these units count towards the 180 unit requirement in order to graduate?

They need to have an X in the course title. That said, there should be a link somewhere that says transferrable courses, or it will say it in the course deacription.

@lindyk8 Yes, the course I want to take does have an X, right before the course ID. However, there’s, as of today, no course description or link that shows what that articulates towards what course at UC. And the course is only 1.5 units (quarter units I assume), so I’m not sure if 1.5 units will cover one class at the UC?

Have you called or emailed UCLA Extension? They are really responsive to questions like this. I had a couple questions about their Stats class and they wrote me back the same day.

Yeah, agree with fulload. It appears that Xs mean they’re transferrable but I am not 100% sure. You need to contact for a definitive list if you can’t find it online. It is pretty low in the units and would not be one class even calculating if it were semester units. One course = about 3 sem/4.5 qtr.

Give them a call. It’s a pretty basic question :-)

Alright, I’ll give them a call! Thanks for the responsive feedback everyone!
