I know that most UC schools award points to applicants whos parents did not go to college.....

My question is, are there any extra points given to a person whose mom went to college but their father did not?

yea that's an interesting question that I would like to know too. and also adding to that, do UC's award points for parents who unemployed or have low-income?

Only San Diego is on a bona fide point system; Davis uses a quasi-point system. The other selective campuses use a holistic review in which they view your accomplishments in light of your background. The less selective campuses accept 80%, so it hardly matters.

As I understand it, first gen tips are only for those parents with no college experience (both parents). Low income excludes temporarily unemployed.

Thanks for the info:)
