Hi all,
I’m a transfer applicant for the Fall 2018 term for Business and Economics (depending on the school). I had everything all setup. A high GPA, IGETC completed, all other major prereqs completed, but unfortunately I had to withdraw from Calc II, a major requirement for 3/4 of the UCs I applied to, UCSB, UCI, and UCLA. UC Davis does not require Calc II. I was already accepted into UCSB.
I understand that part of the admission agreement for each school requires that all courses are passed, especially prereqs, and that failure to do so can result in the application being rescinded. However, have there been any cases of students who failed prereqs and were somehow able to still enroll by taking it in the summer or appealing? Yes, I know that taking it for summer is not allowed according to the websites for each schools.
Should I notify them immediately about my withdrawal? I’m only wondering since I kind of want to see if I was at least able to get in to these schools, as the chance of being denied because of the withdrawal is very high. UCLA will most likely without a doubt reject me if I notify them now and will rescind me if I tell them after being admitted, so at least I’ll be able to see if I got in.
Any advice or help is welcome.
Thanks.
