i got accepted into uc irvine, does the gift aid that they give me include the cal grants im going to receive?

No---

If you received a financial aid offer from UCI, it probably included grants, loans, and work study. If they knew about your CalGrant, they would have included it and labeled it as such. So you need to let CalGrant know that UCI is your choice (If it is-- phone them of fill out the supplemental form), and let the finaid office at UCI know that you're getting a CalGrant (they'll find out eventually).

BUT-- don't think that the CalGrant will just be added on top of the existing package. Typically, UC's will reduce their in-house grants/scholarships by the amount of the CalGrant, so the bottom line to you will likely be the same. If the CalGrant exceeds UCI's grants, then some of your loans will probably be reduced as well/
