I was about to submit my UC app, but then it said I need a yearlong course of fine arts.

I have taken 1 semester of drawing and 1 semester of foods and culture (which is considered fine arts at my school).

But apparently, you need a full-year course rather than two courses that add up to a year... however, the only full-year fine arts course that my school offers is AP art.

Does this mean I can't apply anymore? :(

You should discuss this with your Guidance Counselor. I’m sure he has seen issues like this in his career, so he can help resolve this issue.

I’m out of state, so I’m not sure my guidance counselor will know much about the UC application process. We don’t have many people applying to UC’s every year.

Also, deadline is 30th and school doesn’t resume until the 26th… if you sign up to see my counselor, she doesn’t get to you until 1-2 weeks later

I suggest you call one of the UC admissions offices and tell them about your situation.
