While looking through the UC application, as best as I could remember, there wasn’t a section to record completion of HS foreign language. I have two years completed and, therefore, I have completed my CC’s IGETC requirement. But how would I prove this? Would the UC look down my application (during the reviewing process) because it appears that I didn’t take a college course in foreign language ?
On the app it asks if you have or will be IGETC certified by whatever date. In terms of verifying the foreign language requirement, that is done at your CC. You need to have your HS transcripts sent to your CC, and then if you meet the requirements your CC will certify you. The UCs go by whatever your CC says.
