Ok, so i got the fact that the UC GPA only uses sophomore and freshman year grades excluding classes like PE , health… etc. I also know that one extra point is awared to honors, AP or college classes taken during high school. Now, My question is what is the limit of the amount of AP or honors points that can be included in the GPA? Is it 8 classes? I heard that somewhere… I tried looking on the website but their explinatation is not very clear. I also know that certain honors classes don’t recieve the extra point ( i check my school’s a-g list and honors english 3/4 does not recieve honors credit)

So does anyone know what the limit of honors classes and extra point that can be added on the UC gpa is???

how can u possibly have 8 semesters of classes in your sophomore and junior years combined?????? That's only 4 semesters right there. I don't get it.

8 semester of extra points given for honor and AP classes in both years. That is at most 4 one-year classes.

An average student has 6 classes in one semester (at my school). That is 12 semesters in one school year. In two school years, that would be 24 classes.

Out of 24 classes, UC awards at most 8 of the 24 semesters with the extra point.

Look, in the end, don't waste your time trying to calculate your GPA. You're not the Admissions Committee and you don't get to decide whether you're admitted or not; it doesn't matter what you calculate your GPA to be, but what they calculate it as.

I'm double checking with my booklets about the 8 semesters or 8 courses thing. For now, hold what I said as tentative. TheDad knows the specifics.

Whatever they do, it'll be the same thing they do for everyone else. As long as your transcript looks good and has a good amount of A's, you shouldn't need to worry.
