UC GPA and ELC

If you're within the ELC context, does the UC system judge your application based upon the uncapped ELC GPA, or does it only use the uncapped GPA to determine ELC status, and use the standard 8 ap/honors credit cap on your application?

lol .

choogle, once UC determines that you're ELC, there's no cap to your AP/Honors credits. There's only a cap for all the other applicants.

A high school submits its top 12.5% of the senior class, to UC for review. (Submits the transcripts.) UC then decides who really is top 4%. Then they send out the letters to the individual students' homes.

anyone know about when you should receive a leter.. if they do select you as ELC?

for elc determination, the gpa is uncapped.

ELC letters start being mailed late August, thru end of Sept. (UC mails them on a rolling basis, in the order that high schools submitted their complete transcripts. HIgh schools are notified a week or two before the student so the high school can review and correct anything, if necessary.)

Do you get a letter whether or not you get accepted? Like a letter saying, sorry you did not qualify.. or is it just either letter .. or no letter? thanks.

If you get reviewed but are not ELC, you get an ELC reviewed letter and log in number for an "ELC reviewed " application. Supposedly a good idea to use it, even if it means starting over.

ohh, so there is some sort of reply letter? Thanks.

see also post #12 here

Is it silly that I feel as though I have really "arrived" now that I have been referenced on CC???

Thanks, Shrinkrap!
