UC GPA and Grade Confusion

I'm not from California, so the idea of UC GPA is confusing by itself, but I have an additional problem with my grades themselves.

I know that when I lived in Florida, grades 90-100 were A's, 80-89 were B's, 70-79 were C's and so on... but in Tennessee, 93-100 are A's, 85-92 are B's, and so on (Another reason to hate Tennessee.) I don't know whether or not it's the same in California. Is the grading scale similar to Florida's or Tennessee's? If California has the 90-100 scale for A's, do I use that when I calculate UC GPA or do I use what my school has assigned?

It's a bummer that UC only counts Sophmore and Junior years in GPA. I slacked off in Sophmore year and only began to get serious in my Junior year. Now, in my senior year, my grade book is pretty impressive. Ah well.

When I lived in California the grading scale was the same as Florida’s… I’ve lived in Florida too haha. I moved from CA after 8th grade but I’m pretty positive that it was the same grading scale for high schools as well. I think it would make more sense to calculate your GPA with the CA grading scale.
