UC GPA question

Does Berkeley consider freshman year classes and grades? I know freshman grades don't count towards official UC GPA but I was wondering whether they play a significant role. I took AP Calculus AB in 9th grade, AP Calculus BC in 10th grade and a non-AP math course in 11th grade while most of my friends took AP Calc AB and BC in 10th and 11th grade. Under the UC GPA system I'm at a disadvantage because I have one fewer AP counted towards my GPA but this seems a little unfair in my circumstance

What non-AP did you take in 11th grade? I would imagine the UCs would be fair all around–you don’t get penalized nor do you benefit if you do well or not in 9th grade, regardless of your classes. The advantage you could have had is two AP math classes, plus being more advanced. You’ll get “credit” for completing through Calc BC, but you won’t get the grade bump for taking the AP class because it was during your freshman year. But if you have 8 other semesters of AP classwork in 10th and 11th grade, then you’ve maxed out anyway.
