I just found out that my UC GPA is 3.88 while my weighted GPA is 4.2. This is a pretty big difference and I dont know if UC schools care about your UC GPA. Also I dont know if the link below is saying that the average gpa of 4.13 is UC gpa or regular weighted GPA. Also considering my UC gpa is 3.88 and my weighted is 4.2 and my SAT is 2100-2150, what are the odds of me getting into UCSD.(without taking into consideration of extra curricular) Please be honest and thank you for your feedback

The Freshman profile uses UC GPA which is capped weighted. What is your unweighted GPA? The common data set for UCSD has an average GPA of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale with 93% enrolled students in the 3.75 or above range.
Chances are around 50/50.
Thank you, but im still kind of confused because I dont know what all the different GPA’s mean. What is capped or uncapped, UC GPA, significance of cumulative GPA in college admission process for UC schools? Also how do I calculate the UC GPA (or whatever GPA matters to UC schools) Do i inculde health class or only A-G classes? I thought i was on the right track to get into UCSD, but after the UC GPA im not sure. Thank you again for responding and i would appreciate some more clarification. Thank you.
UC GPA calculator only uses the a-g courses 10-11th grade. Health/PE type classes are not included, just core classes such as Social studies/English/Math/Science/Visual and/or Performing art classes etc…

The link is for the capped weighted UC GPA calculator. Capped means you only get 8 semesters of honors points for UC approved honors classes (in-state only), AP/IB or DE course. Uncapped means an unlimited of honors points for approved honors classes 10-11th grade. Cumulative GPA is your GPA for 9-11th grades which is not used for UC admissions since Freshman year is not used in UC GPA calculation. Unweighted GPA in the UC common dataset is 10-11th grade without honors points.
Ok thank you in that case my capped UC GPA is about 3.9. But Ive taken all the AP classes that were available, so six in total from sophmore to junior year. (thought i got 3 C’s) I also am in orchestra. and 2150 SAT score. Could you tell me my chances of getting into UCSD
