UC GPA

Hi all,

I’m a bit confused with the UC GPA. At rogerhub (https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/) it says Number of UC Approved Honors courses (up to 8). What is up to 8?

You can have up to 8 semesters during 10th and 11th of approved honors courses.

Check which courses at your school (if in CA) are approved for honors/AP/IB weighting here: https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist#/list/search/institution?f=institutionTypeName%7CSchool%3B

From your other thread, it is likely the case that Honors Precalculus is UC weighted and Honors Chem and Honors English are not.

Don’t include the Tennis class, but the Art class(es) should be included.

UC approved Honors classes, AP/IB or Dual enrollment classes all qualify for the extra honors points.

If you attend a California HS, you can look up the UC approved classes for your particular HS on the following link:

https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist#/list/search/institution

UCLA/UCB will also use an uncapped weighted UC GPA which includes an unlimited # of semesters of these course for 10-11th grade.

If you are Out of State, only AP/IB and DE courses count for the extra points (no Honors courses).

@Ynotgo My Chem and precalc class are weighted. Thanks!
@Gumbymom Thank you!
