I took spanish 1 in two parts of 2.5 units each. Because I took it this way it only counts as subject credit for UCB. Do I include the grades I got in these classes in my UC gpa? Technically each individual class is not transferable because they under 3 units but together they count as subject credit so I am confused...

i think you gotta call up or send emails on this one, sweet. this is kind of a specific question, and some of the answers that you get here may or may not be right, because there is a technically correct answer here. so you may just want to go through that route.

im pretty sure the answer is in the indsructions of the UC application. Im looking at the paper app right now and it says, "OVERALL GPA FOR ALL COLLEGE COURSE COMPLETED/ATTEMPTED TO DATE".

and this is from the SRAR:
Overall GPA
• Record the GPA from your transcript. If you have attended more than one school, please list each GPA followed by the school name in parentheses.

im not sure if this answers your question though

Yeah, thanks guys. It doesn't really matter too much. It won't really change my gpa in any big way. It would move up like .o1 if the class doesn't count in the GPA but no biggie.

hey xferstd!

1) what's the SRAR??

2) "Record the GPA from your transcript. If you have attended more than one school, please list each GPA followed by the school name in parentheses."

when i look at the application: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/apply/pdf/APP0607_Form_Transfer.pdf
item #52 on page 4 of 9 is where we calculate gpa. is there room to "list each GPA followed by the school name in parentheses"?

2a)im asking this because i took two classes at a community college while i was in highschool (4 units each) and one class this past summer (3 units) at the same community college. im currently enrolled at UCR so do those three community college classes that i took during summers be calculated into the gpa?
