how do i calculate my UC GPA? Do we include the 8 semester cap? and do we only weigh UC approved courses? my UW GPA is 3.4 while my W is 4.3, which shows i have many honors courses. But if the above is how i'm supposed to calculate my GPA, it will go down to about a UC GPA of 3.8, so i'm not sure if i calculated correctly. thanks. i hope it's not too confusing

This is an ancient post from 2005 or so:

There you have it. If you are a California HS student, you should definitely be aware of what A-G means. It refers to the subjects and the number of each required.

If that didn't help, I can help you calculate it if you post your grades/classes up here from sophomore and junior year.
@mme-lin: You're up late O_O;;

I have eclectic sleeping patterns and I am like a caffeinated owl plagued with nightmares and interruptions. 4am means I am up early for the day...

Could someone help me calculate mine?

What does theory of knowledge count as? Sounds iffy, but if we consider it into your UC GPA as an A-G course, your GPA would be 4.11. Again, some of those courses look fishy, and correct me if I'm wrong, but you took IB Psych second semester junior year?

yes, I wasn't able to get Psych the first semester. I'm you don't have much experience with the IB Program because all of those sources are IB courses that are considered college level. Theory of Knowledge is a mandatory introduction to epistemology/philosophy course required for IB Candidates. What do you mean when you say classes look fishy?

I'm just saying it might not count as A-G credit.

@Sliguy101, I think you have a 3.65 UC GPA (weighted)

aww man. now i have no chance of getting in. I should have taken more non-honors courses. thanks for the help though Peppers.
