hey guys, im just a little curious about something i see on many ppl's academic stats.

UC's only weight 8 semesters, so i don't see how many ppl who have UW GPA of 3.8 ish or 3.6ish can have UC GPAs of up to 4.4 or 4.5. The max that makes sense to me is like 4.4 capped at 4.5 , since in junior and sophomore year, high schools typically have 12-16 class semesters per year. so if only 8 of those semesters are weighted at 5.0, how can someone have a weighted gpa of 4.5 +?

For example, in my sophomore and junior year, i took 6 (12 sem) of weighted courses) and got 6 Bs total. I had a total of 26 semesters worth of credit (PE excluded). thus my UC gpa should be ((20x4.0 + 6 x 3.0) + 8)/26 = 4.07 weighted GPA, and my unweight can be found by simply taking away the 8, or 3.77.
