So far I am 0/2 on UCs transfer from a 4 year(SDSU).

Do CC students get such a major priority that a 4 year stands no chance.

Does it weight that heavy at UCLA?

Do you think it will hurt my chances because I "take too many classes"(in the words of UCSB)

I had 58 units last spring(not eligible to transfer to UC's), I continued to challenge myself taking 10 over summer, 26 in fall, 9 over winter, and 26 in spring. Now I have 103 completed(not including this semester) but I am positive not nearly that many transfer over.

It seems as though I am getting screwed, I had too little now I have too many.

I am not feeling confident about UCLA anymore, but I do have alot of new information for an appeal, and I hope also I can bring up the point that my unit totals shouldnt hurt me. (UCD and UCSB specifically said I was not accepted because of my plethora of classes and my senior level standing-and I am from a 4 year)

ouch, join the 'I got @#$@ during college admission" club..humm I think I might start that at my new college next year (merced) lol...Do those units include any AP exams you took pre-SDSU, and did you apply to other schools before SDSU or did you want to go to SDSU?

I have 12 AP units according to SDSU.
Roughly 40 Community College Units(concurrent with SDSU)
And around 60 SDSU units.

SDSU was my 6th choice out of H.S. Unfortunately it was the "best" school I was accepted to.

Right now I am applying to 9 schools, I have a feeling I will be accepted to alot of schools out of state(BU, BC, ND, NYU) and none in state (UCB, UCLA, USC)

I'm confused. You have 112 semester units? And you have senior standing? How many do you need to graduate from SDSU? Why not just graduate and start applying to grad schools at the school you want to attend?

I have 103 completed(need 120 to graduate...but I still need ALL m upperdivision) , but this is only my second year, i will still be at SDSU for another 2 years. I want to transfer for many different reasons, and sticking it out for another 2 years while being unhappy is not very appealing to me.

I think the problem the UCs are seeing is you not only 103 semester units, but 103 lower division units. To them at first glance it looks like you are just taking classes without a plan for graduating, and they aren't interested in picking up students that want to wander aimlessly amongst their class selection.

If I were you I would high tail it to my counselor and map out a plan to graduate from SDSU. Its time to start on those upper division classes. You can still apply to transfer, and though the odds won't be high of success. I suspect UCs would look more kindly on a transfer of someone who knows what they want to be doing, but is looking for a specialty they can't get at their present 4 year school. (And can you explain to them what you were aiming for when you were taking 26 units a semester. I bet you had a plan, but maybe its not obvious to the transfer AdComs.) If you go with this type of strategy, in the worst case you will graduate from SDSU (perhaps in less than two more years) and can head off to grad school.

UCD- thanks for the advice. I do have a plan and always have had a plan.

I have taken all NINE(9) business prerequisites at SDSU.

Because of SDSU restrictions I was not allowed to declare upper division until this spring. Instead of taking a semester break and taking pointless classes, I decided to take courses that will help me fill all undergraduate requirements and improve my chances at transfer schools.

Unfortunately they did not improve my chances at transfer schools.

My point is, I did not have a choice but to take more classes.
I was 2 units shy of applying LAST YEAR, and even by taking a NORMAL course load, I would be well over 100 units. It just sucks
