I’m a second year at UCSB looking to transfer to UCLA or UCB.
- Prior to transfer, will you complete two transferable college courses in English composition (not including English as a second language courses)?
Do I need to complete this if I am planning on completing GE’s at my current campus? If I’m not wrong, this is part of IGETC, which can be replaced by a letter of reciprocity. I also AP tested out of all writing classes, so I would have to take an upper division writing course to fulfill it.
- UCLA business economics requires one advanced course in English composition
In this situation, what would qualify as an advanced course? I tried emailing the UCLA economics department, but they weren’t very helpful and stopped responding. The department said that it must have EngComp3 (UCLA course number) as a prereq. Would that be any writing class beyond 1 and 2 (the intro courses) at UCSB?
Thank you!
