Wow, I don’t know how many times I’ve perused the UC “Introducing the University” booklet, but this is the first time I’ve noticed the Intercampus Visitor Program. That seems pretty cool! If you got rejected from your top choice, you may still have an opportunity to study there for a quarter and experience the campus. Or you can study at a UC that has a stronger program for your major… Do you know anybody that has done this in the past?

"I think you can also take summer classes at other uc's."

I go to UCLA, and UCI does some heavy advertising to go to UCI for summer programs on the Daily Bruin... I guess it's because there's a good number of socal residents who live closer to UCI than UCLA for the summer. Berkeley also does some advertising.

One of my friends at UCI was a double major in Bio and Anthro and finished all of her Bio requirements in her first four years and spent her fifth year doing Anthro. Berkeley offered better Anthro classes, so she did the UC campus exchange and spent her last year at Berkeley. It worked out better for her because her grandmother lived in Oakland and she lived with her, saving a bunch of money on housing costs. She really liked it, especially since she was a NorCal native.
