I haven’t got my aid yet, it just says “Your file is complete. We expect to have your financial aid award available shortly. You will receive notification from us once your award information is available.”
A question for you guys that already got your aid award, did you guys use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool or did you manually input your tax info into your FAFSA?
I’ve been having problems with the IRS Data Tool, it can’t find my tax info, I probably have to call the IRS or something but I’ve had the data enter manually for a couple weeks already.
I know some colleges force you to use the data retrieval tool but I don’t know if UCI is one of those colleges.
Do you guys know if UCI grant and Cal grant are they same? I recently received my uci financial aid estimate and it only has UCI grant listed on it while other UCs I got accepted to has a UC grant and Cal Grant listed.
Hey does anyone know if we are going to be required to go to UCI to meet with an academic advisor or can we do it over email or phone? Just wondering because I know enrollment is supposed to be sometime in early June for transfers and you can’t enroll until you have met with a counselor
I talked to the UCI financial aid office and they said that you have to update your school of choice on the Webgrant (CalGrant) website. After that is done, your CalGrant will appear on your UCI’s financial aid award and also the UCI Grant that you have been given will adjust accordingly based on your remaining needs.
Did anyone else get the Osher Scholarship Endowment email? Also is anyone else going to Discover UCI day on Friday? I’m going and I’m so excited to show my mom UCI (my mom and dad never went to college so they’ve never set foot on a university before!)
Also anyone else submit their housing apps yet? If so, where did you apply to be housed?
@ucorcsubound I submitted my housing app for Arroya Vista too. Hoping to get into the International or IPACS house! And yeah I’m going to. It’s a chance for an extra 5,000 dollars to take off my bill and I need whatever I can get, tbh.
Hey everyone, I have a question. When you guys registered for Discover UCI did you get a confirmation email? Cause I didn’t and I’m a bit worried it didn’t go through
@oceanicdazee hey I’ve heard that the ACC apartments are the best to live, which include Camino del sol and vista del campo Norte for transfer students. You can also live in Arroyo Vista, which are the theme houses. However, if you can find an apartment off-campus, it could be much cheaper!
