Course Rigor: 8 APs (Euro Hist, Lang, US Hist, Bio, Stats, Lit, US Govt. & Poli, Calc AB); 2 honors (Chemistry and Math Analysis), the rest were GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) classes (not that they really mean much to universities).

It would be really nice to get in, but honestly I’m not expecting much. ESPECIALLY since Nursing Science is their most competitive major with only a 3% to 4% acceptance rate. The average GPA for this major is 4.2-4.3 with an avg SAT score 1920. I feel I wrote some pretty impressive essays (including the essay for the Nursing supplemental app), so if I do get in by some miracle, it’s all thanks to those. I’m still doubtful nonetheless.

@Dani2006 - I have not. Very few people actually receive them. One of my friends received UCLA and I’ve heard they’re usually the latest at sending out supplementals, so I doubt UCI will be sending them out anymore (unless I’ve been misinformed about UCLA sending them out later than the others). It’s usually only VERY borderline applicants who receive them anyway. Not receiving one could actually end up being a good thing for you!

@thatonedude822 - my gpa is higher than yours but my major is political science. Also, I’m from an international school and have taken several IB classes, including Mandarin. Accepted to UCR and with invitation for the scholarship excellence program if I go there. I got a supplemental question from both UCI and UCLA (UCLA a week ago and UCI this week). I reviewed some of the postings that sometimes they sent you the supplement if you extenuating circumstances (which in my case, I loss both parents and had two conservators in two different countries, etc.). I really wanted to go to UCI so I am waiting. Goodluck to you!

Everyone who posted on this thread sound awesome. I wish you all the best of luck. Yes, we want to go to UCI (Dani2006, FutureNow, thatonedude822, etc.)

@theatonedude822 so that can mean that if they will downright reject you, you won’t get supplemental questions either… that’s kind of worrying too

What’s taking UCI so long this year???

^Right!

I saw in another post that UCI already sent some letters of rejection. Also saw that there were admission acceptance released last Friday, March 14. Did anyone receive any acceptance or rejection? I saw posting from Ms. Sun Blog that admission decision will be released March 17-21, kinda concern that I did not get any last Friday when there were people that has lower GPAs and SAT scores than I do that got accepted…

I was accepted on March 14
