UC Irvine- Biology Major

I volunteer at the hospital, lots of extra curriculars: softball, orchestra, math club, photo club etc.
Taken 2 AP courses 4 Honors </p>

<p>Okay, sorry about that! I did some reading and found out thats how you did it in Cali. (I’m from colorado) haha. Anyways, you’re GPA looks good, but the obvious issue is the ACT. Heres the good news: the UC systems has a policy to insure students whom meet the necessary criteria, which you do, are placed in one of their schools. I would say Irvine is a low match for you, but don’t sweat it. If they don’t accept you, you’ll likely be admitted to another UC (perhaps riverside of SB). Good luck!</p>

<p>So if you rank in the top 9% of your school, or the state wide index, you’re guaranteed admission to a UC.</p>

<p>The top 9% at a CA high school get into a UC - probably Riverside or Merced. That doesn’t apply to OOS applicants. </p>
