I am a senior in high school in Southern California. Do you think I can get into UC Irvine given my stats? Also, is there any chance of being offered a spot in their CHP? My stats are as follows:
10-12 GPA: 4.13 (unweighted: 4.0)
SAT: 2070 (700 M, 780 W, 590 CR)
SAT Subject: Biology M (700), Math 2: (730)
AP’s: Calc AB (5), Biology (5), and I will be taking Physics 1 and Spanish this year.
Leadership: VP of CSF
Sports: 3 years Rec soccer, 4 years of dance
Work experience: 2 years working at the month-long San Diego county fair during the summertime
Volunteer: 100+ hours
*note: I am taking multivariable calculus through SDSU’s extension program at my school, so I already have a college transcript developing (college GPA: 4.0)
Essays: one relates how my family vacation traditions cultivated my love for math and the second was about a difficult situation with which i struggled during high school. Personally, I thought they were pretty well written essays.
Thank you in advance!
You look like you have a solid chance at UCI. CHP is not just stats based so it is difficult to determine if you will be offered a spot.
Good Luck.
