lol, CC has given me anxiety Q.Q. Every time I log on with a notification I panic and go to all the portals XD
@bluedevildog I also received the supplement. From what I’ve heard, if you received the borderline supplement, chances should be about 50/50 depending on how much effort you put into your supplemental essays.
@senior2015 no i dont think decisions will come out today. Last year, they started on a thursday and continued through friday, but there were none over that first weekend to my knowledge.
@dpattt @bluedevildog I heard that the supplemental essay was sent to everyone who mentioned some type of disability in their personal statement and they just wanted more clarification on it. Did you guys mention anything in your essays or is it actually for those borderline?
@isaacnguyen no, i have no disability or special talent, so im guessing it was borderline.
UCI’s release method last year was so crazy. I dont think we actually know what would happen this year since after so much chaos they must have changed it? or so I would think
My son mentioned disabilities, but he didn’t get the supplement.
@sbjdorlo That’s strange; maybe his stats were strong enough to get him admitted without it.
I had two prompts to answer, one was for some special talent I had and the other was about any circumstances that might have inhibited me from excelling at school. There was no word limit so I put in over 3000 words total but more than half went towards the prompt about my circumstances. Does this help at all, they said to explain?
Well, he’s not admitted yet! He did have a good SAT 2230 (750 M, 730 CR, 750 W) and SAT IIs (730 Math II, 710 Lit), but he applied to a tough major, Computer Game Science. We shall see…
He has diabetes, a math disability and a vision disability, all of which he talked about in an essay. His GPA was good at the time of the app- 3.95/4.51 (Not sure what the UC gpa was). He did get two Bs in the fall, so GPA dropped. He’s full time dual-enrolled at the local community college this year.
@bluedevildog I got the same.
@sbjdorlo All I can say is that his stats are heck of a lot better than mine, I don’t even compare, plus I never took any SAT II’s.
@DPattt I got mine on the 28th of Feb., which gave me like only five days to figure out how to give them an accurate account of my story.
@DPattt When did you get yours?
Sorry if this has already been answered, but when are admissions likely to come out?
@bluedevildog I received mine on February 10
@bluedevildog, he’s homeschooled/dual-enrolled, so they judge him a little differently/harsher maybe.
Hope they release decisions next week. This is one major and school that really would be a fit for my son, I think.
chance me please

I thought UC schools did not release decisions until march, but it appears a lot have heard back already. If I have not heard back yet should i assume rejection?
