GPA UC Capped: 3.97
GPA Unweighted: 3.69
ACT: 31

Fair amount of ECs and good essays. I had alumni so it increased my chances. Congrats to my fellow anteaters!

For anyone who doesn’t understand the “rolling decisions method,” there’s many acceptances today bc they’re releasing the decisions that they processed fastest, i.e. it’s the most obvious they want said applicant. My friend (who turned in her application a week later than I did) received her acceptance earlier than I did (haven’t gotten mine yet), and she has much higher stats than I do.

So those of you who haven’t received decisions yet, just because you didn’t get a decision today does not mean you won’t be accepted. They may need a bit more time to process and think about it, but you still have a chance.

@redrider‌ just wondering…where on the app would one indicate alumni relatives? I missed it! :-/

@Oracion don’t worry too much because uci’s engineering is not too impacted

@bobacool15‌ I actually heard differently. I was at a campus tour the other day at UCI and I asked an admissions lady if the major influences the decision. And she said no because first they accept you, then assign your major. Even if you applied with an impacted major and had good enough stats, you would be admitted with an undeclared major.

@loveanimechibi me too! Do you know anything about their pharmaceutical sciences program?

I think they’re doing higher priority applicants first, just my guess though.

Does anyone know if Comp Engineering is harder/easier to get into than Comp Sci? Irvine is my last hope for a UC, or in state college in general (disregarding Merced and I still haven’t heard back from Riverside)

Basic stats were a 3.6-3.7ish UC GPA, 1830 SAT and good ECs/Essays

@Vickyvic Idk anymore everyone is saying different things XD I do hope you’re right tho…

Does anyone know if a UC weighted gpa of 3.75 can actually get me into UCI? Lots of post people had like a 3.8 and above. Anyone?

I had a 3.65 w but that was overall (7th-11th) my 10th-11th was 3.96 w and I got accepted.

Yea my concern is 10-11th. You are high in the 3.95 range, and I’m like 3.75. Seems like GPA is really important, and I am not good enough

See most of you guys have that 3.8 or above for weighted. I am so worried because of this.

I am in-state and was accepted for EnvE today ( no email though! ).

SAT 1: 2040
weighted GPA: 4.07/ unweighted: 3.98, top 9%
currently in four AP and one honors class; 5 in APUSH and AP Lit, 3 in AP Music Theory
I had maybe 250+ hours of community service? and I go to an art school, so idk if that impacted anything

Anyone please? I’m getting worried lol. 3.75 weighted UC isn’t good enough for UCI? I know that others are a factor, but can anyone with stats of a gpa around 3.75 tell me if they got in or not? Or like the high gpa get in today or tomorrow is the lower gpa people?
