UC Irvine dorm/social life

<p>Hi Everyone!
I have been admitted to Irvine and I absolutely love the school. I was just wondering..</p>

<p>Which dorm is the most fun to be in? (social people, games, etc.)
Do any parties go on at UCI/ near UCI? Are there a lot of Newport beach parties?
Attractive guys? Good professors? Willing to help their students with research?
Are people friendly?
How do undeclared students choose their classes? First year is it all just general classes you need to take to graduate? </p>

<p>Please give me your opinion on Irvine. It would be much appreciated!!</p>

<p>Guys at UCI receive a B- so I don’t think there are many hot guys.

<p>For the dorms, I hear that its between Mesa Court and Middle Earth for incoming undergraduate freshmen:</p>

<p>Mesa Court:
Pros -
Bigger rooms (more windows)
More social people</p>

<p>Cons -
Longer walk to most classes</p>

<p>Middle Earth -
Pros -
Better food
Closer to classes</p>

<p>Cons -
Filled with weird people
Antisocial </p>

<p>That is horrible… I took a tour two days ago and i saw some okay guys. As for the party scene, what have you heard?</p>

<p>Thanks… Mesa court just doesnt seem very dormy to me. I think middle earth would be fun… i heard it is more social and although the rooms are small it gives a nice dorm aroma to it. i submitted my SIR but it wont let me apply for housing yet…do you know why</p>

<p>100% Mesa Court! Its much more social than middle earth, dorm parties are ALWAYS in mesa versus middle earth.</p>
