On the UCI website it says the requirements for Transfer/TAG 2014 are:

Have a cumulative UC transferable GPA of 2.8 (3.4 for TAG)
Complete one course in microeconomics with a grade of B or better
Complete one course in macroeconomics with a grade of B or better
Complete two semesters/two quarters of approved first-year calculus with a grade of B or better
(TAG Applicants: any two courses required for the major need to be completed with required grades by the summer prior to the TAG submission period)

I've already completed microeconomics and macroeconomics with As, and my current GPA is a 3.46. Since they put TAG requirements in parenthesis, I was unsure whether completing calculus with a B or better was a part of TAG or just admissions. As of now I have Calculus I scheduled for Fall, but I'm curious in case I run into trouble with it.

Math 250A / B are not required courses. Take a look at the Assist page for your CC to UCI for Economics, B.A. There is a section of required courses which you must complete with a ‘B’ grade or higher. Under it you will see “Additional Approved Courses.” You don’t need these to transfer.

For ex) scroll down to Aerospace Engineering major, you will see that it says “Complete two additional approved courses for the major (see column to the right).”
