Good! I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in at least for you alternate major. For your major GPA you just look at the required classes for that major, list of classes somewhere on the Irvine website. Then calculate the GPA based solely on those classes. Yes you have to calculate it yourself lol. So like I took astronomy and life fitness with grades c and f respectively (6 years ago when I was not exactly a student), I would omit those in the calculation of major GPA.
Ya I’m from northern California and grew up in Sacramento… I would not want to go to school at San Jose lol. Its a great school and turns out like the fifth most engineering degrees per year of all colleges in the nation but the areaaaaaa! Good luck my friend. Hope to see you in Irvine next fall. I’m still waiting to hear myself. I’ll definitely post my results as they come in,
@jasonb511 oh, okay thanks! I will just leave my major gpa as a mystery, I really don’t want to calculate it lol
Yeah, but if worst comes to worst that’s the place i’m going to. But we will see, I have this appeal waiting for UCI if they don’t want me lol. Hope to see you there as well! And thank you for your input!!
Accepted
Major: Biology
GPA: 3.7
No TAG
No EC
Rejected: UCLA, UCB
Accepted: UCSD, UCD, UCI
Lol I guess this sort of cheered me up a little after getting rejected by UCB
@transfereee Thank you! I’m thinking of UCSD or UCD. @jazzdancer95 Thank you I found out this morning! I was emailed that my admission status was posted
@transferee I couldn’t accept their offer on time, I was accepted off the waiting list and only had three days, so I missed the deadline. I really wanted to go to a UC, so here I am applying again.
@transfereee Hmmm…I think UCSD has a pretty decent reputation but it is a bit too competitive and I like the friendly attitude in UCD. What about you? Are you planning to attend UCI?
@MizuRue I’m debating between UCSD and UCI but I really need to visit the campuses and talk to an academic advisor before I make the final decision… My ultimate deciding factor is probably graduation date…
Either way you’re going to great schools! are you visiting both campuses?
