UC Irvine Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

@WinterRose
thanks :slight_smile:
No, I withdrew from it within the first 2 weeks. So I didnā€™t get a W.
Just curious, what choices did they give you when you called. I think I read one of your posts on this thread.
thanks

How are you certain that the next batch is rejections/wait lists?

Iā€™m still waiting for a reply and tbh I thought I had a fair shot

@adrian1994

Hmm, I wonder if it was because you registered for ochem 2, and that since you were going to take that course they want you to complete it. I would call admissions or contact through myadmissions about it.
I didnā€™t call admissions due to time constraint, but I messaged them. They didnā€™t give me a choice particularly. I only asked if I could change my major. And so, I did. And after my major was approved I waited for the admissions to be given out to transfersā€¦since I felt like I was reaching a certain deadline here.

They have till April 30, so Iā€™m guessing they will have one more batch on Monday then the following will be rejection/waitlists

@WinterRose thanks for your response. Just curious, where you admitted with the provision of completing ochem? Or did you change your major before decisions were posted.

Has anyone who was accepted received a congratulatory email of some sort? I havenā€™t gotten any email!

@ahccrunner , they sent out an email stating their decisions had been posted. They did not send their choice in the email of admission or rejection.

guys, Iā€™m a bit confused.
I am a UC TO UC transfer (junior). I finished all of 90 units but when I submitted my UCapps, I could only submit my fall grades and my winter courses. Is this correct?
When I went on my UC application, it says ā€œYou have indicated that you are applying as a Junior level transfer student. The number of units youā€™ve reported 53 quarter units) does not meet the minimum required for the level you selected. The minimum number of units required for your level is 90 quarter unitsā€

After this quarter I have 90 units, but I didnā€™t update or submit it.

I didnā€™t submit my winter course grades because I wasnā€™t going to get it until April and I didnā€™t update and say what courses I am taking this quarter.
Will this ruin my chances? :confused: Please let me know guys.

Iā€™m confused because it says online:

Does UCI need my transcripts?
Not immediately. First, we will evaluate your application based on the information you provided on your application. Then, if you are offered admission to UC Irvine, you will be asked to have official copies of your transcripts sent to us by the deadline date. All transcripts must be official, sealed by the appropriate school and must arrive to UC Irvine unopened.

Does UCI need my fall semester grades or work planned for spring semester (work in progress)?
UC Irvine does not routinely ask for fall semester grades or work planned for spring semester; however, if this information is needed in order to make an admissions decision, the counselor evaluating your records will request it. If you have earned grades of less than ā€œCā€ in an A-G subject (freshman) or in any transferable course in the fall semester, or have changed your schedule for the spring semester, it would expedite the review of your application to send this information as soon as possible.

You guys should look at the 2013 thread similar to 2015. They released decisions late in 2013 I believe april 25

@adrian1994

No problem. I changed my major before the decisions were posted. That time I was thinking, or being hopeful, that UCI would release their admissions on Friday, the same day as UCB. So I changed my major in case. I was afraid what would happen since I didnā€™t complete ochem 2 before transferring.

oh this is how irvine always does it. First is acceptance then all the rejections then all the waitlists.

My friends over the years thought this was weird xD Another weird thing that irvine does is that bio majors are strongly recommended to finish the physics series for engineers instead of general physics like all of the other ucs. Irvine is very anal about somethings.

Ok first things first. Call admissions and tell them your situation.

I doubt the next batch will be rejections. They literally only gave out once batch so far right? By previous years posts it wasnā€™t until the third or forth batch the people got rejections. I donā€™t think itā€™s fair for any of you to be saying with absolute conviction that rejections are sure to come next unless you are with UCI admissions. It scares people who havenā€™t gotten an acceptance and makes them worry more. Could we be a little more sensitive?

I didnā€™t get admissions either. Its good to be practical. Though I see your point. I might be completely wrong, but I am just basing on past experiences and trends. :slight_smile:

Submitted my SIR :slight_smile:

@penguinluver hey piss off with your negative vibes

Wtf p1ss is considerded profanity?

You cant do w t f either? wow

how bout thisā€¦ ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Bahahahahaha, You canā€™t tell but that ^ is just saying ā€œpositive vibesā€ over and over again.

Guys im sure they probably have one more batch and they dont release wait lists after rejections. Rejections are last.

Everyone that participated in this thread is getting accepted tomorrow .peace, love, and prosperity.
