@vikings101 yeah me too. Im a international student too so my parents are pressuring me to go to the “better” school which would be SD for econ, but i feel like irvine is the right school for me… Im torn -.-… I hope they send out decisions tomorrow or something. The wait is killing me

Well idk what tyoe of environment ur looking for…ucsd has a very competitive environment…very studious…intense on grades…the campus is nice though. Uci is strong on cometitiveness also…but the environment doesnt feel as studious or tense.
@PrincetonLo i visited UCSD amd idk i guess the type of vibe it gave me…didnt really fit with what ibwas looking for…UCI has nice vibe
I got rejected from UCSB right now as well. Im praying for UCI but it seems like everyone is receiving their acceptance today :((

I’ve been following this forum for the last few months! This is my first time posting so I wanted to thank everyone who remained positive and gave hope to the many that were still waiting. It gave me hope too since UCI is my top choice. And it was the last one to let me know lol

I can’t even tell when batches come out anymore. Everyone is getting accepted at different times.
Any engineering majors hear anything yet ? Maybe these batches are being sent major related wise
Its so mixed up…i cant even tell how uci is releasing anymore…they are releasing like small amounts at a time and then no one expected them to be the last uc to release acceptance letters.
@vikings101 im from Vancouver Canada so my native language is english lol. Planning to visit UCSD and UCI in a few weeks to check it out. From what i heard, UCSD is very tough and “socially dead” but i gotta check it out myself. I dont think anybody from Business Admin got admitted yet.
I don’t think they’re the last uc to send out acceptance letters. I also applied to UCM and I’m still waiting for the verdict (I know others who are waiting as well). I would have thought I would at least hear back from UCM since it’s less competitive but it does not seem to be the case
@PrincetonLo yea honestly ucsd is kind of socially dead in a way. I said studious environment to make it sound nice haha.
UCI gets a lot of the same social environment complaints that UCSD does.

I am currently a straight A student, have gotten all As since returning to school, but have a bad academic history from over 5 years ago going back a ways. I am a sober alcoholic adult, back in school and now doing great ! Now I talked to the UCI rep and she told me to apply this Fall '15. I’m a Psychology transfer using IGETC, and getting an AA or AT they call it. My best option for transfer is UCI for numerous reasons, but my major would by Psychology and Social Behavior. Now like I said I have gotten all As, been essentially the highest grade in every class since I started again as a sober adult. I am in the National Honors Society for Psychology and am also in Phi Theta Kappa, I also do a good amount of volunteer work helping the less fortunate. Now for the not so shining news … my transferable GPA will be a 3.2 so assuming I can do a good job on the personal essays and really show that I have turned over a new leaf … What are my chances of admission to UCI for Psych and Social Behavior … be honest. Thank you !!! Also I’ve been reading these threads and of course wish each of you the best and am crossing my fingers for you as well.
You rock ! I’m at a CC still hoping to apply next Fall. My GPA by then will be a 3.2, same major. Were you in any clubs or anything ? Congrats ! you must be so happy 
so if i dont get an admission decision by tomorrow night do i just give up hope and quit school?
