Oh. Yeah I didn’t even get waitlisted so defintely rejected. Congrats to those who got accepted. I wish all of those who got waitlisted all the luck. Hope every single one of you here get in! Definitely helped seeing others feel just as anxious I did these last few days.

I don’t know how accurate the rumors are that they’ll be releasing into may but if they don’t release tomorrow night I will be just signing my SIR to UCSD and moving on…

@MAL0812 I honestly think it was because too many students applied. My GPA is 3.2 and I have one prereq missing which I was planning on taking this summer. The portal says:
Thank you for applying to the University of California, Irvine. Due to limited capacity for transfer students, we are not currently able to offer you admission for fall 2015.
However, your application is strong and as a result, we want to provide you the opportunity to be included on a transfer student waitlist for UC Irvine. If you choose to paricipate in the waitlist by submitting a Statement of Intent to Participate, you will be notified by June 30, 2015 regarding your admission status. At the same time, we caution you to not miss the deadlines at other colleges/universities while waiting to receive our waitlist decision.
I’ve read from different threads that you should submit your Final Transcripts for Spring grades if it’s before June 30 to help your chances of being accepted off the waitlist. Does anyone know if this holds any truth?
too many students always apply. there’s always more applications than open seats. something about the applications were not as competitive as the ppl they accepted, those are the ones that get waitlisted
if you get waitlisted it means one or more of the following:
- your stats were good, but not as good as other people
- your app was good, but you didn’t fill some kind of demographic niche they needed
- your app was good but they had to choose people at random to waitlist. other people equivalent to you may have gotten in.
^^ yeah that seems to cover every possibility
If you didn’t get wait listed today, you are pretty much rejected, right?
i wonder what the admission rate off the waitlist was for uci 2014…
