Was just accepted to Cal State Poly Pomona as a Chemical Engineering major. I haven’t heard back from UCI yet, still anxiously waiting. I was wondering if any of you here had any thoughts on what would be a better choice. I would be living off campus - 20-25 minute drive to UCI. 40 minute drive to Pomona.
@nmsocal From what I’ve heard, Cal Poly Pomona is probably a much better engineering school than UCI. I’m not sure how they compare specifically for chemical engineering though.

@taffylaffy I’m a sophomore transfer too, they say they accept sophomores if space permits, so hopefully we get in! Are you undeclared too?

Yep, its the same that happened last year. They seem to have just taken longer to do it this year. Its really hard guys but, lets post stats next to decisions so that it may help people next year- congrats to those who got in and praying for those on the waiting list- including myself

@orange2015 rejected 3.84 gpa to econ. I think UCLA is more holistic than UCI. At least I got a waitlist from them

EC: volunteering at a hospital.
Prerequisites: all done except for 2. Planning on doing it for summer at UCI.
I think I’m going to sleep and wake up and hope that they give me an answer. Uci is scaring me

@isitjames what were you transferring in as ? Did you have your math classes done past calc 3 and differential equations ? Take any computer engineering /circuits class ? How about finish all 4 physics introductory courses ? sorry for bombarding you with questions , I am just wondering
