Haha thank you!! My portal has not updated yet. I was just casually checking my email and saw that I received something from UCI’s CAMP Program. I was so in shock lol.
Hope to see some of you at UCI if you end up transferring there!
Congrats! Is your plan to go there 100%?
I’m still waiting to hear back from the other UCs to officially decide but I really like Irvine so I’ll most likely end up going there.

that sounds like it might be a mistake @danielaliz, it wouldn’t be the first time a congrats email from a program has been sent in error.
if you are accepted though, then congrats! I really am happy for you if it wasn’t a mistake lol
Hey if I tagged, is it possible to get rejected for tag (guaranteed spot) but get accepted regularly later on in the future?
I got that same email about the CAMP program and it too said congratulations on your acceptance but my portal is still not updated and have not gotten a formal email yet, so i am not sure
if for whatever reason your TAG is rejected, you will automatically be put into the general applicant pool and your application will be reviewed that way.

@danielaliz congrats!!! Hoping this is a good sign that admissions come out today:D
@madaus I dont think it matters much because UCs look at P/NP the same way for every student (say if you entered your grades on TAP your P/NP class would not be factored into your GPA)
Remember that when you apply to grad schools also they might interpret your P grades as C’s too. Although your gpa starts over when you transfer, grad schools will still strongly consider your pre-transfer grades

is it only me or do I feel like admissions most likely won’t come out today? My best bet is that they will for sure come out Monday or Tuesday. But maybe we will be lucky and get it today. I’m tired of getting my hopes up only for it to be 6 pm and still nothing
I confirmed with a Cal counselor and I also made a thread about it. They won’t be able to tell if it’s an A or a C. They just consider it as a “pass”. A lot of people say this but it’s not true. The only case that they will see it as a C is if you have a history of having a bad grade in the class (you had multiple NP or D or F before getting that P)
I didn’t receive the CAMP email either and I’m a regular applicant as well!
Update: Lol I think I made the same mistake as someone else. Double checked to see who qualified: The National Science Foundation considers an underrepresented minority in STEM as students with Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, and Non-Filipino-Pacific Islander ethnic backgrounds reported at UCI at the time of admission.
