UC Riverside is historically the first to release admission decisions, UCSC and Merced most likely are gonna be released next, in the past Irvine sent out admission decisions REALLY late. Even their TAG is significantly later than other UC’s despite TAG being marketed as “early decision” (I think they’re trying to slowly get rid of it since majors have slowly started being excluded from TAG.)
I would bet on regular admissions coming out around April 20th, TAG most likely coming out around the end of the first to the second week of April.
I saw reports of April 9th being the date it usually comes out
Hey everyone,
I’m planning on transferring to uci with honors to honors which basically means that if I get a 3.7 gpa they’ll give me guaranteed admission. But the thing is they only look at you gpa up till the fall so I’m wondering if my gpa dips below a 3.7 this semester after they accept me will they rescind my admission
they won’t. As long as you get a ‘C’ or better in your classes you should be fine.
Looks like freshmen are getting their decisions today, anybody know if UCI released early for freshmen or was this expected?
pretty sure this was expected!
i thought they were coming out in like april!! did anyone see updates to their portal at all?
They are supposed to come out in March for first year applicant. April is for us transfers so we got awhile still.
I got a email from Santa Cruz they said transfer decisions will start to come out March 17 I’m assuming that’s earlier than usual. so we might get ours sooner too?
I hope sooo but I am pretty sure UCI releases near the end of April like UCLA and UCB.
i was reading last years thread and it seems that people who tagged or are doing an honors program to uci will hear back from april 1st-april 10 and regular transfer applicants will hear back april 10 to the end of april
Hi, I am waiting for admissions decisions for fall 2021. I am taking some elective courses this semester but I’m thinking of dropping a course with a W. Will this affect my admissions decisions?
I also have the same question as sunflower25. I am taking a GE course and I’m thinking of taking Pass/No Pass. Does anyone know if this will affect my chances?
Courses taken in summer 2021 are not counted in your admission decision. Its only the courses finished in the spring 2021 semester/quarter.
I believe you have to contact the admissions department and notify them of the change. As long as they are not major requirements or desired courses for your major it should not have too much of an impact
Does anyone know if it would hurt my application if i have one pre-req that i haven’t taken? it says on assist that there was no articulated course at my cc but when i talked to my counselor she told me our school offered it. So I’m actually taking it right now but i’m worried it won’t be considered as an equivalent course.
I had a similar question. If my cc doesn’t have the course, it isn’t required right or it doesn’t count against me?
I’m not so sure about this but you should try to contact the uci admissions office to check!
this happened to me and most likely if ur cc doesn’t have it you’ll just have to take it later at uci
Yes i did send an email to our school’s rep at uci but i am yet to receive a response lol i just hope it doesn’t hurt my app :0 if it doesnt count, as u mentioned in a reply, they’d make you take it at uci correct?
