Thanks, I’m positive I did satisfied all the requirements. I just need to find out what they THINK the problem is so I can write my appeal to explain what the mistake is. Man, what a huge hassle and also not too good for my mental health!
Waitlisted (this doesn’t surprise me)
Biological sciences and public health sciences
3.33
Finished all pre requisites and will finish ochem 2 and physics 2 this spring
IGETC certified by end of spring
EC’s: Worked full time, Interned with head of department of neurology at well known hospital near UCI, shadowed surgeries, small business of my own, community service stuff
I also live very close to the UCI campus but not sure if that helps!
Essays explained how I had to learn to be financially independent (family is crazy) and explained why my grades were low in my first year. Also talked about my passion for sewing and kind of worked that into my major.
My transcripts show upward trend (4.0 last two semesters)
I got in last week as H2H but my SIR got waived. I don’t qualify for any types of fee waivers so this is surprising. Did this happen to anyone else? This might be a gigantic leap but could it be regents?
I got rejected as an h2h applicant. I applied as Quantitative Economics. I took calc 2 and got an A, but my calc AB AP score from high school was a 3. Could that be the reason for rejection? I had my IGETC, all pre reqs done (or currently completing) and I had a 3.74 GPA and I was honors to honors verified. Can someone help me understand why I could’ve gotten rejected?
Yeah, I think you’re right. Sorry Krisp. Math 2A is a required course, and a score of 3 on your Calculus AB exam gives elective credit. You need a 4 or 5 to get credit for Math 2A.
GPA: 4.0 in adult life and at my current institution, got a single C back when I was 16 at my first CC
Major: Chemistry
Other info: OOS, from CC, have weird credits due to attending CC while a teenager and applied as a junior but am only really a sophomore in terms of major specific progress, also have some credits in rudimentary courses like pre-algebra which I didn’t learn until 16.
Because UCI doesn’t read essays to my knowledge, would it be “new or compelling information” to explain my life circumstances? I’ve overcome a lot of challenges like poverty and a broken home and that’s my main hook really. Outside of that I just have GPA bc UCs don’t accept LORs and don’t have AA.
Other schools:
