UC Irvine Fall 2022 Transfer Thread

“C” is acceptable. No D/F. Call admissions to confirm.

That’s what most people are assuming right now and it should be around April 16th if UCI is going to release according to the previous year trends!

Individual majors and students may have different conditions of admission they need to meet. I would look at your contract to see what is required before contacting admissions.

I’m worried I’ll be left with very little housing options since I’m still waiting on other schools😬 the options already seem limited

Does anyone know of anyone who DIDNT tag or have H2H that got admitted? So basically a regular applicant?

Yes several friends of mine were admitted without tag. Not sure if they have h2h

I can’t seem to get a clear answer on whether or not any transfers have been accepted that don’t have H2H, TAG, or some kind of unique circumstance. If there have been, it seems like UCI might be pulling a SLO where they’ll just wait to deny or waitlist everybody else near the end of the month. Best of luck to all!

Did anyone transferring from another UC into UCI get accepted?

Hey, I don’t really use cc much but I was accepted w/ regents and h2h this past Friday. Public health policy major!

Where did you see you received Regents?

I just noticed my son got invited to a UCI Admissions Day for Friday April 15th. Hopefully that means those still waiting will be hearing soon this week! (unless UCI has multiple transfer admissions days?)
Good thoughts and luck to all!

Wouldn’t this imply that regular applicants will hear before the 15th? It would be odd if they held an admission day celebration for just a fraction of the students admitted.

That’s what I am thinking too! He is a TAG student. So hopefully, others will hear tomorrow or Weds? Otherwise there wouldn’t be much time for them to sign up. Or maybe as UCI releases in batches then they have multiple events.

Looks like there is only one event for “Celebrate UCI” which is scheduled on April 16.

The one for the 15th was only sent to students that were admitted last Friday.

The “In-Person” event is scheduled for this Saturday, April 16. I hope UCI won’t wait until the day before the In-Person event to release the 2nd wave.

I do not think they would care to release all decisions before April 16th considering they held their 2020 Celebrate UCI event before all transfer decisions were out.

April 20, 2020 was the day most transfer applicants received their decisions, but the event for that year took place April 13-18. Granted, the event was online, whereas this year is in-person, but I just believe the event is mostly catered toward admitted freshmen and transfers are only a second thought. It’s still likely for a Friday the 15th wave in accordance to last year’s pattern though.
