Hello, all! I am a current CCC student hoping to transfer to UCI fall 2016. I was wondering if anybody knows their statistics for admission into the gender and sexuality studies major? I’ve been researching it and am not finding a lot of info on it… I’d like to know what my chances of admission might be, any answers would be greatly appreciated
My stats: currently have a 3.25 GPA, (can probably raise it this fall semester to 3.3) involved with the women’s studies club, volunteer work for 5 consecutive years at a battered women’s shelter, and been working part time all through college.
I don’t know the stats by major but, their TAG threshold for most majors is 3.4 which is going to be a stretch for you.
Apply to several other campuses to be safe. Find one where you’ll TAG qualify (UCR?) You can ‘create your own’ major at most schools so, even if they don’t list your field, you can still pursue the major.
Yeah, UCI is my first choice but I know it’s definitely not a guarantee considering my GPA, but I thought I’d try anyways! UCR is my second choice and then a bunch of cal states after that… thanks for the answer, I appreciate it!
Id say your chances are slim due to gpa but its always worth a try!
