concerns about UCI

-sooooo many asians
-my sister is going there(good or bad?)

*concerns about of CPP & SDSU
-sdsu is 3 hours from home(I want to be closer)
-cpp is a commuter school
-will I be able to graduate in 4 years? or will getting the classes i want be difficult?
-are there serious students at sdsu? or is it all about the parties?

I'm having the hardest time deciding between these 3 school. UCI is the best school I got into, plus it has the UC brand name. I don't plan on going to graduate school, so would the school i go to really effect my chances of getting a job after college? I visited UCI's campus and it is beautiful and it's only 1.5 hours from home, which is a plus. But the only thing holding me back is the 50% asian population. I'm not racist, but I would feel more comfortable being around people that are similar to me.. I think everyone would. So please leave your input, I really need help

UC Irvine is probably going to attract more on-campus recruiters, and has more name recognition. If you are concerned about class difficulty, then you could always study  And don’t you think future employers are savvy enough to understand grades too, or do you think they are just going to focus on GPA and give no thought about how hard it was to earn those grades? At the 2 CSU schools unless you get internships while in college you are likely to face difficulty finding a job after graduation. Probably a really good idea no matter where you go.

You say distance home is a concern. Unless there is a family situation that requires you to be home regularly then I think you are making a poor decision. Many students go away to college and return home once or twice a year. You will not bond with your fellow students or have the opportunity to get involved in school life if you disappear Friday afternoon and don’t show up again until Sunday nite.

@mikemac Thanks for the reply.Another question, I was accepted into uci with my alternate major, undeclared, my first major was business admin./finance. Should I do general ed. my first year and then declare a major my second year (maybe business economics) or would i be better off going into a cal state where I can major in finance?
