UC Riverside - Mechanical Engineering
University of Illinois, Chicago - Mechanical Engineering</p>
<p>I think I am going to go to either UC Irvine or Purdue University.
Which one do you think better? Area of Interest is engineering.</p>
<p>It’s very hard to get into Engineering programs at most schools. Have you checked the difficulty of this at UCI? If it is tough to switch to Engineering, you may want to go to a school where you are accepted into your major.</p>
<p>Engineering Technology is NOT engineering per se, it’s lighter and not as well-paid. So I’d discard Purdue.
Are in-state in Illinois or California?
If you’re in-state in California, go with UCR. It’s a UC and you’re in for Mech E.
If you’re in-state in Illinois, go with UIC.</p>
