<p>I think I am going to go to either UC Irvine or Purdue University.
Which one do you think better? Area of Interest is engineering.</p>
<p>What kind of cost and debt are you looking at for each school?</p>

<p>Purdue: note that mechanical engineering technology is not the same as mechanical engineering. For Purdue, you need to change into First Year Engineering, as described here:

Then complete the requirements with a high enough GPA to get into your desired engineering major:
