UC Irvine's MT program?

<p>I am currently a Junior in high school and have begun my search for colleges. I am looking to study Musical Theater. I am from Oregon and my parents are urging me to attend a University closer to home (they would prefer a college in state-because of college costs). I want to get the best education I can, and unfortunatly there isn't any school in Oregon that offers an MT BFA program. I am planning on attending Unified auditions 2011, but have also been looking at schools other than the schools that will be holding auditions at Unifieds. Does anyone know anything about the BFA MT program at UC Irvine? Is it worth looking into? </p>

<p>Let me know of other schools that would be worth looking into a little bit closer to home.</p>
