<p>Hey, the site for UC Jazz is down, and I had a couple of questions. If anyone on this forum has experience with UC Jazz it'd be great if you could share. I'm going to be a sophomore and I play alto sax but have no experience with jazz theory/scales whatever. I thought I could take some classes at the off-campus jazz school and then audition but I have no clue what to take in preparation for auditions. So, what do you need to know when you audition for the ensemble? Also, the flier says "all levels welcome" but how true is this? Cal kids are amazing, and I doubt the ensembles spend time on total beginners. Thanks!</p>
